How fast can you actually get here?
Our standard is on site within two hours of dispatch, anywhere in our coverage area, 24/7/365. Most calls are faster. Post‑accident and reasonable‑suspicion requests jump the queue.
Do you really answer the phone at 3 a.m.?
Yes — a person, not a menu. 1‑800‑539‑4934 rings to a live dispatcher around the clock, including weekends and holidays.
What’s the difference between DOT and Non‑DOT testing?
DOT testing is federally regulated (49 CFR Part 40) for safety‑sensitive employees — truck drivers, transit operators, pipeline workers and the like. It uses a fixed 5‑panel, federal chain‑of‑custody forms and HHS‑certified labs. Non‑DOT testing follows your own company policy, so panels, instant tests and hair testing are all on the table.
Can I use my own lab?
Absolutely. We hold contracts with LabCorp, Quest, CRL, Omega and Abbott, but if you already have a lab agreement or a TPA, we collect and ship under yours.
Where can you test?
Anywhere with a little privacy. We’ve collected at highway rest areas, truck stops, job‑site trailers, hotels, hospitals, offices and private homes. For urine collections we need a restroom we can secure; for breath, hair and observed collections we’re flexible.
How is pricing structured?
Testing fees are per donor and start at the prices on our pricing page. Everything else — mileage, after‑hours, weekend and holiday, post‑accident and reasonable suspicion, observed collections — is charged once per visit, no matter how many people we test.
How long until results come back?
Instant tests: minutes, on site. Breath alcohol: immediately, printed. Lab‑based urine: typically 24–72 hours after the lab receives the specimen. Hair: usually 3–5 business days. Non‑negatives go through confirmation and MRO review, which can add a day or two.
Who sees my results?
Only the people you designate — you, your employer or DER, your attorney or the court. Individual clients receive results directly. We never share results with anyone you have not named.
Are your collectors qualified?
Every collector is DOT‑qualified for urine collections and certified on LifeLoc and Alcovisor evidential breath testing devices. On top of that, each one completes Work Safely’s own training program and passes our final exam before their first dispatch.
Can you set up and manage a random testing program?
Yes. We can run your random pool, make the selections at the required rates and dispatch collectors to your sites — or work from your existing consortium’s selections.
